Yes! If you are a distance education student at UNCW living more than 40 miles outside of the Wilmington area, the library can mail your library materials to you and will include pre-paid return shipping to easily return the items.
To set up this option, please follow these instructions:
Distance Education undergraduates should set their status, either when registering for an ILL account or in the Edit Your Profile section of their ILL account, to Distance Education. They should set their delivery method to Mail to Campus Address (even though they are off campus). This will open the address fields, where they should enter their mailing addresses. Graduate students should do the same but set their status to Distance Ed Grad.
Requests for UNCW Library materials to be mailed should be submitted as ILL requests, not placed on hold in the catalog. We cannot mail UNCW Library or Interlibrary Loan items that are restricted to in-library use only
Go to https://library.uncw.edu/ill to log in and manage your account.
Here is a video summarizing ILL Services for distance learners: https://library.uncw.edu/distance-ill (note the library is now using USPS not UPS).
These services are also summarized in this policy: https://library.uncw.edu/policies/interlibrary_borrowing
