General Use Computers
- UNCW Library has computers available to UNCW students, faculty, and staff located in Randall Hall on the first and second floors and in Discovery Hall on the first and third floors. Most computers are Windows desktops with Windows 10.
- There are iMac (MacOS) computers available in Discovery Hall on the first and third floors.
- There are computers with attached flatbed or feed scanners in Discovery Hall on the first floor.
- The Graduate Lounge on the second floor of Randall Hall has computers for graduate student use.
- We also offer workstations with a laptop dock and single or dual monitors to allow users to connect their own device.
- There are four guest computers for non-UNCW affiliated guests in Randall Hall on the first floor.
- UNCW users can borrow Windows laptops from TAC (Technology Assistance Center) located in Randall Hall on the first floor. Please note: TAC no longer loans MacBooks.
Specialty Computers
All specialty computers are in Discovery Hall on the first floor and include:
- GIS computers with ArcGIS Pro.
- Data computers with NVivo, which is used for evaluation of qualitative research.
- Bloomberg computers for students who need to work with market, investment, and proprietary information/data.
Software
All computers include the Office suite, Adobe Acrobat DC, Respondus Lockdown Browser, Google Chrome, and Horizon, which is a virtual software repository with additional software availability.
