Library FAQs

To find an article, try one of the following approaches:

1. Copy and paste the title of the article into the main search box on the library homepage. If the library has access to the article, it should appear under the "Scholarly Articles" heading in the results page.
2. Copy and paste the title of the article into the discovery layer Summon. This tool searches many--but not all--of our article databases and the library catalog. If the library has access to the article, it may appear in the search results. If the library does not have access to the article, you may only see a citation for the article, but will have an option to request the item via Interlibrary Loan.
3. Search the library catalog for the *journal title* (not the article title).
   • This will tell you if the library subscribes to the journal in print or online. If we do not subscribe to the journal you will see a title browse list, with the text “your entry __________ would be here”. You can place an Interlibrary Loan request for articles in journals we do not subscribe to.
   • If we do subscribe to the journal it may come in several different formats: microfiche, microfilm, current periodicals, bound periodicals and full-text online.
